*taps mic* Is this thing on? Hey everyone, it has been a couple months since I have blessed your eyes with my writing. There are a couple reasons for my absence, however, the biggest reason is the type of place I was in a few months ago. For some time I was in a bad place, I was unhappy and consistently drained. I could not figure out why I was so unhappy. I later found that my job was part of the reason. The money was getting the bills paid and then some, but I always felt drained. So, I had to make a change. I began to apply for jobs and going to interviews. I soon accepted a new position and put my notice in, this was just the beginning. My lease to my apartment was coming to an end and my roommate and I decided to not renew our lease. Time continued to pass, March rolled around and the journey began; I started my new job and signed my lease for me, myself and I.
For some, new employment and/or moving can add stress to ones life, but for me, it lifted weight off of my shoulders. Once I moved into my own apartment, I was able to focus on myself more and by doing so I found peace. My whole aura shifted, the peace I found within myself open other doors to happiness that I thought I would never find. I am in a relationship, a relationship with a man that has kept a smile on my face since the day he got my number. Perfect timing or fate, this man entered my life when things started to look up for me. I am a firm believer that if you are in a negative place in life, new positive doors cannot open for you until you begin to make those minor and/or major adjustments. Without making those adjustments, I would not only be in a bad place but a relationship would not be a part of the equation.
For this reason, I want people to challenge themselves and reflect on their lives. Are you truly happy? Are you truly happy with the space that you are in? Are there some major or minor adjustments that need to be addressed? If yes, then address them. If no, continue doing what you are doing to obtain the happiness you deserve because everyone deserves to be happy.
